Review: Dermalogica's Total Eye Care with SPF 15

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line  - this is a very good all around eye moisturizer, but it didn't hydrate my eyes enough to stop dehydration in cold and dry weather Dermalogica : Dermalogica is an American skincare company founded by Jane and Rey Wurwand in 1986. However, before the first Dermalogica products were made - in 1983, Jane, a U.K. trained skin therapist, opened "The International Dermal Institute" for licensed skin therapists to teach hands-on postgraduate level skincare training. Realizing there weren't products on the market which matched what she was teaching, Jane and Rey established Dermalogica. They decided they wanted a product line free of common irritants and ingredients which they felt led to breakouts, such as lanolin, SD alcohol, mineral oil, artificial colors, and fragrances - and that's exactly what they ended up creating. Dermalogica Total Eye Care with SPF 15: I used this (almost) exclusively for 2 years and consider i...

Review: Tatcha's Dewy Skin Mist

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line -  it's nice to have, but I don't think it's a must. I probably will not repurchase this mist. Tatcha: Tatcha is an American beauty company founded by CEO Victoria Tsai in 2009. Their skincare products are rooted in geisha beauty practices and focus on powerful natural ingredients, such as abaca leaf, green tea, seaweed, red algae, oatmeal, rice bran, and Japanese wild roses. Tatcha employs scientists in both the US and Japan to create products from scratch using these ingredients, which led to the foundation of their products - Hadasei-3™, a trinity of anti-aging superfoods born from the Japanese diet, and the basis for the original geisha beauty rituals: green tea, rice and algae. Every ingredient is carefully selected and minimally manipulated to be gentle and safe with maximum effectiveness.  In short - their principle is quality products that focus on less doing more. Dewy Skin Mist: I l...

Review: SK-II's Facial Treatment Essence

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - I will continue buying this over and over again! SK-II: SK-II is a Japanese skincare company that was founded in 1980 by Japanese scientists. During the 1970, Japanese scientists began researching powerful naturally derived ingredients that could be used in skincare products. When they observed workers at a sake brewery in Japan, they noticed while their faces appeared aged - their hands (which were submerged in fermented yeast everyday to make the sake) were smooth, youthful, and clear. The scientist began research the yeast and discovered a specific yeast strain which they felt was responsible for this youthful transformation. PITERA - the yeast strain - is now in every one of their products and has been marketed to the world as the secret to everlasting youth. Facial Treatment Essence: This makes me skin glow in a way that no other product ever has. I started using this in November 2017 (so I'm a newbie when it comes to SK-II), but ...

Review: LancĂ´me's Bi-Facil Eye Make-Up Remover

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - I've tried a lot of different eye make-up removers and this is my all-time favorite.  LancĂ´me : LancĂ´me  is a French beauty company founded in 1935 by  Guillaume d'Ornano and his business partner, Armand Petitjean.  LancĂ´me's product line includes make-up, skincare, and fragrances.  LancĂ´me is probably most known for two of it's product ranges -  Visionnaire and Dreamtone. Visionnaire  contains a patented ingredient "LR 2412," which improves skin texture and uneven skintone, and reduces pore size and fine lines.  Dreamtone, a newer product for  LancĂ´me, which is designed to  improve hyperpigmentation from sun spots and blemish marks. LancĂ´me's  Bi-Facil Eye Make-Up Remover: I have been using this for seven years and outside of the cost - I have no complaints. As I've already noted,  I dislike scrubbing make-up off my face, but I really hate scrubbing make-up off my eyes. This gent...

Review: Dermalogica's Power Rich

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line  - this works! It's one of the three products that my hubby-to-be can't live without, and he really hates taking care of his skin. Dermalogica : Dermalogica is an American skincare company founded by Jane and Rey Wurwand in 1986. However, before the first Dermalogica products were made - in 1983, Jane, a U.K. trained skin therapist, opened "The International Dermal Institute" for licensed skin therapists to teach hands-on postgraduate level skincare education. Dermalogica's Power Rich: Disclaimer - I have not used this product; this review is based on my hub...

Review: Dermalogica's C-12 Pure Bright Serum

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line  - while this product works, I don't think I'm going to buy this again because I have several other vitamin C products that I prefer to use. Dermalogica : Dermalogica is an American skincare company founded by Jane and Rey Wurwand in 1986. Review: Tatcha's The Water Cream

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line -  I will absolutely repurchase this cream and plan to make it my go-to nightly moisturizer this summer. Review: SK-II's GenOptics Spot Essence Serum

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - it works! My skin glows and my dark spots were dramatically reduced. SK-II: SK-II is a Japanese skincare company that was founded in 1980 by Japanese scientists. PITERA - the yeast strain - is now in every one of their products and has been marketed to the world as the secret to everlasting youth. Review: Sisley Paris' Nutritive Lip Balm

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - I will not repurchase this lip balm. Sisley Paris: Sisley Paris is a French beauty company created in 1976 by Hubert d'Ornano who wanted to use technological advances to extract the best aspects of plants and essential oils and use them in their products. Sisley's production, administration, and research laboratories are located in France and their products can now be found on five continents. Sisley Paris' Nutritive Lip Balm: I think this is my first negative review since relaunching my blog. I purchased this back in November at the same time I bought Sisley Paris' Black Rose Cream Mask (which I love) in order to get a free gift.  I'm not going to lie - I was quite underwhelmed by this product. I feel like for the cost - that my lips should be luxuriously moist for several hours instead of 30-to-60 minutes at best. I also feel like I could get similar results using Vaseline - and Vaseline is much more economical than t...
