Greetings, my friends!
Bottom Line - I will not repurchase this lip balm.
Sisley Paris:
Sisley Paris is a French beauty company created in 1976 by Hubert d'Ornano who wanted to use technological advances to extract the best aspects of plants and essential oils and use them in their products. Sisley's production, administration, and research laboratories are located in France and their products can now be found on five continents.
Sisley Paris' Nutritive Lip Balm:
I think this is my first negative review since relaunching my blog. I purchased this back in November at the same time I bought Sisley Paris' Black Rose Cream Mask (which I love) in order to get a free gift. I'm not going to lie - I was quite underwhelmed by this product. I feel like for the cost - that my lips should be luxuriously moist for several hours instead of 30-to-60 minutes at best. I also feel like I could get similar results using Vaseline - and Vaseline is much more economical than this product.
Stats:
For those that are interested, this costs $74 for a .3 oz pot. You can buy this on Sisley Paris' website (www.sisley-paris.com), but it is also available at Neiman Marcus, Net-A-Porter, Barney's New York, Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, and Bergdorf Goodman.
If you are going to buy this, then I'd like to remind you that I do not recommend buying high-end beauty products from Amazon or eBay. While I love Amazon and eBay and most sellers are legitimate with quality products - beauty products tend to be highly susceptible to fraud. If you're going to spend your hard earned money, make sure you're buying what you think you're buying.
I hope this helps.
