Review: Missha's Cho Bo Yang Eye Cream

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - I will not buy this eye cream again. Missha: According to SokoGlam.com, Missha has been a favorite among Korean women for over a decade. With a mission to create high-quality, effective products at affordable prices, many of their products have reached holy grail status for beauty lovers across the globe. Missha's Cho Bo Yang Eye Cream: Neither my hubby nor I liked this cream. It irritated our eyes, had a strong fragrance, and only hydrated a little bit. I was super surprised that we disliked this one so much since we liked Missha's other eye cream, Misa Geum Sul Vitalizing Eye Cream, very much. I honestly cannot recommend this to anyone as I didn't find any redeemable qualities to the eye cream except the exceptionally beautiful packaging of the product. Stats : This costs $35 for 30ml and can be purchased on Soko Glam's website ( www.sokoglam.com). You can also purchase this on Bed, Bath, and Beyond's website. T...

Review: Johnson's Head-to-Toe Baby Wash

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - I've used this for years to clean my brushes and will continue to use it for years to come. Johnson and Johnson: Johnson and Johnson is an American pharmaceutical, skincare, and medical device producing company. Johnson and Johnson was founded in 1886 by the Johnson brothers - Robert, James, and Edward. Their products evolved from ready-to-use surgical dressings to medicine to skincare to baby products. As of 2017, Johnson and Johnson was ranked 35 on Fortune 500 List. Johnson's Baby Head-To-Toe Wash: I know a lot of the products I've reviewed so far have high price tags or are considered luxury items. I didn't choose them because of their price - they honestly are the best products (I've found) for my face. And over the years, I've tried less expensive products hoping to find something comparable that wouldn't break the bank, but in the end if one expensive product replaces two or three less expensive products...

Skincare Ritual for Dry Skin

Greetings, my Friends! Little Background:  I was speaking with a family member recently about her dry skin and she asked me for some advice. So, this post is for you. 😗 Dry Skincare Ritual:  As you all know, I have oily skin, but many of the principles that I use to treat my skin will work on all skin-types. Mainly - always treat your skin as if you have sensitive skin and only be as aggressive as you need to be to achieve the results you're searching for. People who suffer from dry skin should focus their ritual on hydration. People with dry skin suffer from early signs of aging, deep-set wrinkles, itchy, irritated, and/or tight skin,  and sometimes rashes. A lot of these conditions can be treated and in some cases reversed by hydration. But it's not just about using facial oils and moisturizers - it's about creating a ritual that cleans, preps, and hydrates your skin like a artist would prepare a canvass. No one ritual will work for everyone...

Review: Dermalogica's Skin Resurfacing Cleanser

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line  - my hubby loves this cleanser! He's lazy when it comes to his skincare and since this both cleanses and exfoliates - win! I can get him to use it. Dermalogica : Dermalogica is an American skincare company founded by Jane and Rey Wurwand in 1986. However, before the first Dermalogica products were made - in 1983, Jane, a U.K. trained skin therapist, opened "The International Dermal Institute" for licensed skin therapists to teach hands-on postgraduate level skincare training. Realizing there weren't products on the market which matched what she was teaching, Jane and Rey established Dermalogica. They decided they wanted a p roduct line free of common irritants and ingredients which they felt led to breakouts, such as lanolin, SD alcohol, mineral oil, artificial colors, and fragrances - and that's exactly what they ended up creating. Dermalogica Skin Resurfacing Cleanser: Why buy two products when you can buy one? That is...

Review: Tatcha's Indigo Soothing Rice Enzyme Powder - For Sensitive Skin

Greetings, my friends, Bottom Line - this is my go-to enzyme exfoliant! I use this almost everyday. Tatcha: Tatcha is an American beauty company founded by CEO Victoria Tsai in 2009. Their skincare products are rooted in geisha beauty practices and focus on powerful natural ingredients, such as abaca leaf, green tea, seaweed, red algae, oatmeal, rice bran, and Japanese wild roses. Tatcha employs scientists in both the US and Japan to create products from scratch using these ingredients, which led to the  foundation of their products - Hadasei-3™, a trinity of anti-aging superfoods born from the Japanese diet, and the basis for the original geisha beauty rituals: green tea, rice and algae.  Every ingredient is carefully selected and minimally manipulated to be gentle and safe with maximum effectiveness.  In short - their  principle is quality products that focus on less doing more. Review: Missha's Misa Geum Sul Revitalizing Eye Cream

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line -  this is a pretty awesome eye cream especially when you consider its price. Missha : According to SokoGlam.com, Missha has been a favorite among Korean women for over a decade. With a mission to create high-quality, effective products at affordable prices, many of their products have reached holy grail status for beauty lovers across the globe. Misa Geum Sul Revitalizing Eye Cream: I'm not going to lie - I didn't have high hopes for this eye cream because of it's cost, but last Fall I had a lot of extra crows feet around my eyes because of the cold dry air here on the east coast. I decided to try this eye cream after reading all of the glowing reviews (and a little because the container is beautiful), and I was stunned at how quickly my crows feet went away. It help brightened the area around my eyes while moisturizing. It did not irritate my eyes, and I like that it doesn't have a fragrance. Having said...

Review: Dermalogica's Oil Free Matte SPF 30

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line  - this is a great matte daytime lotion which I think is worth a try for someone looking for a new lotion. Review: ACWELL's Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - this is the best Asian toner I've tried. It beats toners by SK-II, Son and Park, and Amorepacific hands down! ACWELL: ACWELL is a Korean beauty company that combines traditional Korean medicine with over 400 years of history and modern-day research to give you the best results. Natural herbs calm skin and address problems at their roots to restore skin back to health. - SokoGlam ACWELL's Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner: This is an incredible toner and my current favorite! I received this toner as a sample with a SokoGlam purchase back in January and I've been hooked on it ever since! Not only do I feel like this cleans my face, but I can see that my face is visibly brighter. Even my hubby commented how my face had a glow to it a couple days after I started using it. Another perk to the toner is that it has green tea in it - which helps treat hyperpigmentation. I love layering different products that treat hyperpigmentati...
