Review: Creamery Creek Goat Milk Soap

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - I've been using their soap for seven years, and I love it as much today as the first time I used it. Creamery Creek: Creamery Creek is a family-owned Utah-based company. They have been making handmade goat milk soap from their super cute Nigerian Dwarf goats (pictures on their websites) for almost 20 years. They consider their little goats to be a part of their family, and as such their products are cruelty-free. Also their goat milk soaps are phlthalate, SLS, and paraben-free. Creamery Creek Goat Milk Soap: I freakin’ love this soap! I don’t think I can put into words how incredibly fantastic these soaps are. Not only is their goat milk soap creamy and rich, it also foams up very well. This soap leaves your skin feeling clean (no residue), and is very moisturizing while being incredibly gentle on your skin. On the back of my upper arms, I’ve always had a little keratosis pilaris (chicken skin), but since I’ve been using this ...

Airplane Beauty Ritual

Greetings, my friends! Little Background: For starters, I posted my first airplane beauty ritual back in 2012, but it's changed a bit since then. So this is my updated streamlined ritual that I do every time I'm on a flight over 3 hours. I hope you all find this helpful. Before the airport: I never wear make-up to the airport. I don't see the point since I'm just going to take it off when I get on the plane. Plus I don't care what people think of my no make-up appearance in the security line and at the gate.  Water: My first rule of flying is -  Water! Water! Water! The air on airplanes is very drying. So I drink a lot of water before and during my flight. I think drinking water before, during, and after a flight is the most important beauty trick for healthy skin. Ritual : Once I take my seat I immediately put down the seat back tray and pull out my airplane toiletry bag, which contains:  - Several Hair Ties - A Head Band (I'm a big fan of Swea...

Review: Neogen Dermalogy's Real Fresh Foam Green Tea Cleanser

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - this is awesome! Both my hubby-to-be and I have used this cleanser and we love it. Neogen Dermalogy: Neogen Dermalogy is a Korean skincare company which is a leader in skincare trends. They have developed advanced, high performance, and cruelty-free products to delivers natural ingredients to their clients. Their innovative formulas and top-quality ingredients create products with maximum benefits and gentle results - even for people with sensitive skin. Neogen Dermalogy's Real Fresh Foam Green Tea Cleanser: This is an amazing cleanser! Its main ingredient is green tea extract which brightens and hydrates, and it is very  gentle.  Since it's designed for people with  oily or combination skin, I worried that this would be too harsh for me as many products designed for oily and combination skin tend to strip my skin. But this didn't dry out or strip the natural oil out of my skin. Even better - it doesn't have a smell (I...

Review: Dermalogica's Overnight Clearing Gel

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - this is my favorite acne gel. It works like a charm every time, and it's very gentle.  Dermalogica : Dermalogica is an American skincare company founded by Jane and Rey Wurwand in 1986. However, before the first Dermalogica products were made - in 1983, Jane, a U.K. trained skin therapist, opened "The International Dermal Institute" for licensed skin therapists to teach hands-on postgraduate level skincare education. Realizing there weren't products on the market which matched what she was teaching, Jane and Rey established Dermalogica. They created a p roduct line free of common irritants and ingredients which they felt led to breakouts, such as lanolin, SD alcohol, mineral oil, artificial colors, and fragrances. Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel: This is my favorite acne treatment gel. It's active ingredient is salicylic acid (which treats the acne), but it also has tea tree oil (which acts as an antiseptic agent t...

Review: Bioderma Laboratories' Sensibo H20

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line - although it's not sold in stores in the United States - I buy this every time I go to Europe and recommend it to everyone I know. Particularly my friends with sensitive skin. Little Background: I was first introduced to this around 2010 while watching a Lisa Eldridge video. For those that don't know who Lisa Eldridge is, she is veteran make-up artist with over twenty years experience. She works on runways, fashion shoots, and for celebrities. I absolutely love her videos, and would highly recommend checking out her website for cosmetics, tools, and/or skincare products. Also - she has combination to oily skin which makes me love her even more because most of the products she recommends for herself I can use too. ;o) Bioderma Laboratories: Bioderma Laboratories is a French skincare company which was founded in 1977. T heir corporate headquarters is located in Aix en Provence, France, but in 2001 the company opened its speci...

Review: SK-II's Brightening Derm Revival Face Mask

Hello, my friends! Bottom Line - I really saw a difference with this mask and will rebuy it soon to prep for my wedding! SK-II: SK-II is a Japanese skincare company that was founded in 1980 by Japanese scientists. During the 1970, Japanese scientists began researching powerful naturally derived ingredients that could be used in skincare products. When they observed workers at a sake brewery in Japan, they noticed while their faces appeared aged - their hands (which were submerged in fermented yeast everyday to make the sake) were smooth, youthful, and clear. The scientist began research the yeast and discovered a specific yeast strain which they felt was responsible for this youthful transformation. PITERA - the yeast strain - is now in every one of their products and has been marketed to the world as the secret to everlasting youth. SK-II's Brightening Derm Revival Face Mask: I didn't have high expectations for this mask because I tried SK-II's other mask (I...

Review: One Love Organics' Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil and Make-Up Remover

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line -  I will continue to buy this for as long as it's on the market. Why? Because it works. One Love Organics: One Love Organics is a small American skincare company. Their products are crafted in small batches of plant-based formulas, and are certified 100% organic and cruelty-free. One Love Organics' Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil and Make-Up Remover: This was the first oil-based cleanser that I tried and I have used it ever since.  It's thin enough to slide easily over my skin, but thick enough to really get into my pores and clean them out. It removes the most stubborn eye and lip make-up (at times it makes me look like a demented melting clown), but it's also remarkably gentle. It doesn't cause any skin pulling while I massage my face and it helps restore and hydrate my skin while cleaning it.   Oh and it smells like the beach. This cleanser has pumpkin oil, fatty acids, vitamins (including E and B), and (as if...

Review: Dermalogica's Active Moist

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line  - this is an excellent moisturizer for people with oily or combination skin. I've repurchased this many times and both me and my hubby-to-be love it! Dermalogica : Dermalogica is an American skincare company founded by Jane and Rey Wurwand in 1986. However, before the first Dermalogica products were made - in 1983, Jane, a U.K. trained skin therapist, opened "The International Dermal Institute" for licensed skin therapists to teach hands-on postgraduate level skincare training. Realizing there weren't products on the market which matched what she was teaching, Jane and Rey established Dermalogica. They decided they wanted a p roduct line free of common irritants and ingredients which they felt led to breakouts, such as lanolin, SD alcohol, mineral oil, artificial colors, and fragrances - and that's exactly what they ended up creating. Dermalogica Active Mo ist: I used this every night for almost 2 years. It's incredib...
