Review: 31 Different SokoGlam Sheet Masks

Greetings, my friends!

Bottom Line - I tried a lot of masks over the past few months, and I'd only definitely repurchase 15 masks. Ultimately the ones I didn't like were either A) masks that didn't work or B) consisted of a gross thick gooey essence that felt terrible on my skin. In short, I didn't like the ACWELL, Benton, Enature, Klavuu, Leaders, Tony Moly, and Ultru masks. But I did love most of Manefit's, Missha's, most of Neogen's, and Skinfood's mask.

ACWELL: Per SokoGlam.com, ACWELL is a Korean beauty company that combines traditional Korean medicine with over 400 years of history with modern-day research to give you the best results. Natural herbs calm skin and address problems at their roots to restore skin back to health.

ACWELL Honey Anti-Wrinkle Daanj Mask:
I'm torn on this one. I like the results, but I don't think I'll buy this again even though it only costs $2.50. I've tried a couple of these kinds of face masks (linen with lots of goo essence) and I just don't like the way it feels on my skin while I wait the 20 minutes for the mask to set. Having said that, once I removed the mask it soaked into my skin quite quickly and my face looked smooth and bright. Maybe I'll buy it again, but I'm on the fence. This came in my 7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge set.

ACWELL Traditional Grain Syrup Ginger Mask:
Like the Ultru and other Acwell mask, this was a linen-style mask soaked in a gooey essence; however, I didn't mind this one as much. It was less gooey if that make sense, but I still wouldn't purchase this again. In short, it didn't work. Or if it did, I didn't notice any firming on my face. However, I found it to be hydrating, but I didn't like that it left a little sticky residue on my face once it dried. This mask costs $3.50 and came in my 7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge set.

ACWELL Traditional Grain Syrup Mugwort Mask:
I didn't like this mask at all. It was a linen mask soaked in a lot of gooey essence, and even though it only cost $3.50 - I don't think I'll buy this one again. I didn't like the way it felt on my skin (the goo felt weird and was really thick,) and I didn't notice much of a change after I used it. My skin was also tacky for at least 15 minutes after I used it which makes finishing my nightly ritual that much more difficult.

ACWELL Water Moisturizing Daanj Mask:

I didn't like this mask from the first second I put it on my face. The eye and mouth holes were so small that I thought it must be a child size version. This is a linen mask covered in a liquid gooey essence - which I've explained above that I don't like. It cost $2.50, but because I had so much difficulty keeping the mask out of my eyes, I will not be repurchasing it.

Benton: Per SokoGlam.com, Benton uses fresh, natural ingredients in small batches to restore skin to its original, healthy condition. The brand's dedication to premium ingredients has brought its Snail Bee line to holy grail status.

Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask:

I didn't notice any difference when I used this linen mask. Although it only cost $2.50, I won't repurchase it.

E-Nature: Per SokoGlam.com,
E-Nature was founded on the principle of creating breakthrough formulas for your skin by fusing cutting-edge Korean technology with the safest and most effective natural ingredients.

E-Nature Bio-Zeup Sheet Mask:
This was a linen mask covered in a gooey essence (wait for it). I know this isn't going to be a huge surprise to you all, but I didn't like it. It hydrated my skin, but other than that - I didn't notice anything else. This mask cost $2.50, and I do not plan to repurchase it.

Klavuu: Per SokoGlam.com, Klavuu is Korea's first marine pearl cosmetic brand that infuses natural pearl, essential oils, and marine plant extracts into their signature formulas. Natural pearls will enrich, hydrate, and firm the skin, for the most radiant luminous complexion.

Klavuu White Pearlisation Pearl Serum Mask:

I thought I would love this mask (because I love their cleanser), but I didn't notice any brightening with this mask. It was easy to put on because while this was a linen style mask - it was a thick linen mask (many of the other masks were very thin). I had no issues with how it felt and it was hydrating, but at a cost of $9 - I expect better brightening results. Especially since some of the $2 masks worked better.

Leaders: Per SokoGlam.com, Leaders Cosmetics brings you the best in Korean sheet masks by combining innovative technology with proven natural ingredients. Every formulation is developed by a group of 15 leading dermatologists from Korea - providing pure, natural and effective skincare that you can trust.

Leaders Balancing Recovery Mask:

I did not like this linen mask at all. This mask had so much extra material that was wasted on my hair and ears that I assumed I bought a XL version. I tried repositioning it at least 8 times, and I could not get it to sit flat on my face - six areas were puckered and kept slipping down my face. For $7 a mask - I expect it to stay on my face. Having said that - it did hydrate and left my skin dewy. I wish it was just better suited for my face.

Manefit: Per SokoGlam.com, specializing in patented sheet face mask technology, Manefit is a combination of the words “mask pack” and “benefit.” Manefit has a goal of bringing health and beauty to consumers with unique and quality products developed through professional R&D.

Manefit Bling Bling Hydro Gel Mask - Revitalizing Rose:
I loved this one! Unlike the other ones I reviewed above, this is a gel mask. I found this one to be awesome. It felt cool and moisturizing on my face and didn't leave a sticky residue. This is well worth $6, and my first one was in my 7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge set. I will happily repurchase it.

Manefit Natural Green Tea Pore Care Sheet Mask:

I found this mask to be "eh." It's not bad, but it's not great either. My biggest issues with this mask is that it didn't soak into my skin, and left a sticky residue that remained on my skin even after I rinsed and put my moisturizer on. Although I liked it's coolness on my skin, that this was a gel mask with two sections, and it only costs $5 - I will not buy this one again. This one also came in my 7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge set.

Manefit Beauty Planner Lily Brightening Eye Mask:
I loved it! This is a gel mask and it really works. It brightened my dark circles and hydrated my skin. While I was wearing it, it felt cool and hydrating and did not cause any irritation. It also only costs $3 - so it's well worth it. I plan to buy a few of these and used it on the day of my wedding.

Manefit Honey Nutrition and Vitalizing Mask Set:
I would rebuy this. It doesn't have a pleasant smell (kind of like alcohol), but it worked and I am a little surprised. It is a linen mask (which are not my favorite), but it's very soft and drenched in essence and is not gooey like the other masks I reviewed above. I noticed after the first mask that my skin was smoother and hydrated. This is only sold in a set - 5 for $10, but it's a good set and well worth a try.

Manefit Bling Bling Hydro Gel Mask - Soothing Aqua Collagen:
This is a great mask! It plumped, hydrated, and left my skin feeling dewy and amazing. Again, this a gel mask - which I seem to favor - but it really does feel great on. It costs $6 and is well worth a try.

Manefit Beauty Planner Mugwort Sheet Mask Set:
I don't know how this works, but it works! I really liked this - even though it's a linen mask. It cleared my pores, and left my skin hydrated and dewy. This is another one that is only sold in a set of 5 for $10, but I will definitely repurchase.

Missha: Per SokoGlam.com, Missha has been a favorite among Korean women for over a decade. With a mission to create high-quality, effective products at affordable prices, many of their products have reached holy grail status for beauty lovers across the globe.

Missha First Treatment Essence Mask:
This is awesome! I didn't have high hopes for this after the Klavuu mask, but this really brightens, hydrates, and evens your skin tone. This mask is a thick linen mask which kind of makes you look like you have a white ski mask on, but it feel good on. It's not gooey, but you can definitely smell the essence on the mask. At $7, it's definitely worth a try.

Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Hydro Gel Mask:
This felt amazing! It's another gel mask and I noticed it brightened and hydrated my skin. It wasn't sticky and felt wonderful on my face. This cost $6 and I've actually bought this for several of my friends because of how much I loved it.

Neogen: Per SokoGlam.com, Neogen Dermalogy is at the forefront of skincare trends and technology, developing advanced, high-performance, and cruelty-free formulas. Using their innovative six-core bio-technology, Neogen delivers the true benefits of natural ingredients to the skin.

Neogen Vita Energizing Fiber Glow Mask:
This is a linen mask - which as you know - I'm not a huge fan of because most linen masks don't sit flat on my face. Having said that - I did notice that my skin was brighter and glowing after I used it for 15 minutes. It left a little film on my face once I finished, but I'd probably still buy it even with that. It cost $5, but was on sale for $4.50 when I bought it in January, but it is currently not available on SokoGlam's website. I don't know if they stopped selling it or if they are currently out of it - but if you get a chance - give it a try.

Neogen Black Caviar Essential Mask:
I liked that this mask was different in that it was a black linen mask, but it didn't work. It was saturated in essence, but not gooey like many of the other masks I didn't like. Bottom line - it didn't work and at only $4 - I will not rebuy this.

Neogen Pink Cactus Liftmax Knit Mask:
This is a thick linen mask with lots of milky liquid on the mask. It felt really good on, but took a while to soak in once I took it off - about 15 minutes later I still had residue on my face. Having said that - it worked. I noticed a subtle lift and for $6 - it's definitely worth recommending.

Neogen White Truffle Hydramax Knit Mask:
This is a thick cotton mask, and it felt really good on my skin. Just like the Cactus Liftmax mask - this took at least 15 minutes to absorb into my skin, but it definitely hydrated and brightened my skin. It costs $6, and I'll definitely be repurchasing this one.

Neogen Agecure 3D Lifting Wrinkle Neck Mask:
I don't know if I'm not ready for this (I don't have saggy neck skin) or what, but I didn't notice a change. It's a linen mask with a nice milky essence that hydrates - but I didn't notice any lift afterwards. It costs $6 and - I'd say if you have saggy skin on your neck - give it a try. For me, I won't repurchase it anytime soon, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't work for people with this issues.

Sally's Box: Per SokoGlam.com, Sally's Box creates all of its products around one of the key building blocks of an amazing skin care routine: moisturizing. Each mask specifically addresses a skin concern while never compromising on hydration.

Sally's Box Delight Collagen Hydrogel Mask:
I loved this mask! This is a gel mask that is very cool and hydrating. I used this on a particularly cold and windy day when my skin was dehydrated, and this brought my skin back to life. Well worth the $5 it costs. This came in my 7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge set.

Sally's Box Loverecipe Acai Berry Mask:
I really liked this mask too! It smells like heaven, hydrates your skin like a champ, and left my skin smooth and even. I think what got me with this one is that it only costs $2 and it works! I will happily buy this one again and againThis came in my 7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge set.

SkinFood: Per SokoGlam.com, SkinFoods's philosophy is to create beauty products formulated with the extracts of the highest quality fruits and vegetables. Healthier skin starts with food.

Skinfood Everyday Green Tea Facial Sheet Mask:
I liked this mask a lot. I was surprised since it only costs $2, but I would definitely buy it again. It hydrated without making my skin feel sticky, and I only needed to leave it on for 15 minutes. This also came in my 7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge set, but I currently don't see this on SokoGlam.com. I'm not sure if it's currently out of stock or if they are not going to carry it any longer, but if you get a chance to try it - do it!

Skinfood Marine Food Gel Sheet Mask - Seaweed
This was an amazing mask! I loved it! For starters, I love gel masks the most - especially the ones with two pieces (which this one did). It hydrated my face and once I took it off - the remaining essence absorbed into my face quickly. I bought this for $4.50, but it's normally $5. I also liked that it didn't have a scent to it.

Skinfood Marine Food Gel Sheet Mask - Pearl:
This is another amazing mask from Skinfood. This gel mask felt amazing and really brightened my face. At $5 it is well worth repurchasing.

Skinfood Everyday Beauty Berry Facial Mask Sheet:
This was not bad, but it was also not wonderful. This linen mask hydrated my skin and smelled wonderful, but it was kind of an "eh" product. For only $2, I would consider buying it again, but it wouldn't be a must for me.

Tony MolyThe name TONYMOLY means “putting style into packaging." With whimsical packaging and unique ingredients that deliver results–what's there not to love?

Tony Moly Age-Defying Snail Hydrogel Mask:

I loved the way this gel-type mask felt on my face! My skin was hydrated and felt tad tighter, but as it was one of the more expensive masks on SokoGlam at $9 - I'd expect better results. In checking SokoGlam's website, I see that this is currently not available (or maybe they stopped selling it), but I don't think I'd buy it again if it was available and I wouldn't recommend it for you if you can find it.

Ultru: Per SokoGlam.com, known for their innovative clay and jelly masks, we're always looking to Ultru for the latest masking trends.

Ultru I'm Sorry For My Skin Brightening Jelly Mask:
This mask was okay and only cost $4, but it wasn't great. I don't know if I'll buy it again because it was quite gooey. When I pulled the mask out of the packet it was difficult to pull out because there was so gooey essence keeping it in the package. Luckily this was a cloth mask and not a gel mask because it probably would have ripped it had been. Also once I took off the mask, the goo stayed on my face for another 15 minutes. I kept trying to pat it into my skin, but it took a while to absorb. This came in my 7-Day Sheet Mask Challenge set.

Ultru I'm sorry for my Skin Revitalizing Jelly Mask:
I really hate how gooey this linen mask is. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy another one after the first Ultru mask I tried, but I will definitely not buy another one of these. It costs $4, left my face very gooey after I finished and I didn't notice a difference.

Ultru I'm Sorry For My Skin Jelly Mask - Pore Care:
I really don't like gooey jelly linen masks, and this was the gooey-est jelly linen mask I tried. Having said that - it worked. My face is very hydrated and my pores seemed tighter. At $4 per mask, this isn't a bad price, but I'm not sure if I'll rebuy it again because of how it felt on my skin. But if I'm being honest I can't say it didn't work.

Stats:
You can buy these masks on SokoGlam (https://sokoglam.com/collections/sheet-face-mask) for between $2-9. If you were like me when I started using sheet masks and didn’t know what to buy - they sell a kit called the 7-Day Challenge Sheet Mask Set for $25 (https://sokoglam.com/products/7-day-sheet-mask-challenge-set) which will give you a good introduction to the different types of masks that are available. I am happy that I tried a variety of different masks that SokoGlam offers over the last few months - they are reasonably priced and I feel as if I really know what I like and don't like about sheet masks. I highly recommend challenging yourself to find your favorite mask. :)

That's it! Let me know if you have any questions.

Review: 6 Different SokoGlam Sheet Masks

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line  - I would buy almost every mask again with the exception of the E-Nature mask. E-Nature: Per SokoGlam.com, E-Nature was founded on the principle of creating breakthrough formulas for your skin by fusing cutting-edge Korean technology with the safest and most effective natural ingredients. E-Nature's Squeeze Green Watery Sheet Mask: This mask was "okay." It's a cotton mask soaked in watery essence (not goo) which felt nice and cool on my face, but I didn't see any difference other than that it slightly hydrated my skin. It's meant to treat excess sebum, but I didn't notice a difference either. This costs $2.50, but I don't think I'll buy it again. Review: Dermalogica's Oil Free Matte SPF 30

Greetings, my friends! Bottom Line  - this is a great matte daytime lotion which I think is worth a try for someone looking for a new lotion. Dermalogica : Dermalogica is an American skincare company founded by Jane and Rey Wurwand in 1986. However, before the first Dermalogica products were made - in 1983, Jane, a U.K. trained skin therapist, opened "The International Dermal Institute" for licensed skin therapists to teach hands-on postgraduate level skincare training. Realizing there weren't products on the market which matched what she was teaching, Jane and Rey established Dermalogica. They decided they wanted a p roduct line free of common irritants and ingredients which they felt led to breakouts, such as lanolin, SD alcohol, mineral oil, artificial colors, and fragrances - and that's exactly what they ended up creating.
